Dated Shower to Luxury Wet Room!!

​Solihull Bathrooms have been busy again transforming a stock standard shower room to a luxurious and spacious wet room!

The work began by stripping out the old shower room and then preparations began to install the new wet room shower tray former. Solihull Bathrooms worked closely with their client, to source the correct shower tray former and furnishings for the project. The existing ply flooring was cut away to make way for the new shower tray former. CLS timber was then used to 'frame out' the hole in the floor in readiness for 3/4" ply sheeting to be installed, which in turn would support the weight of the new shower tray. Prior to this, the existing floor joists needed to be lowered so that the tiled shower tray height would line up with the rest of the tiled floor. New shower waste pipework was installed and finally the complete floor over boarded over using ply wood. Next, the room was painted using Vespar bathroom paint and IP65 spot lights installed along with a new extractor fan. Porcelain floor and wall tiles were then installed along with small mosaic tiles for the shower tray. Finally, the new shower, toilet and basin were fitted to complete the wet room project in just eight days.
