Exquisite En-suite Transformation!

This was an interesting but challenging little project refurbishing a tired looking En-suite shower in to a practical, compact and exquisite shower room! On this occasion I had the pleasure of installing a dual heated towel radiator which can be controlled separately to the central heating system, allowing wet towels to be dried in the summer months whilst the main central heating would usually be turned off. The new shower room benefited from beautiful 600 x 300 mm porcelain wall and floor tiles along with a wall hung basin vanity unit. From the video, you will see that there was a wall which formed one side of the old shower enclosure. With some design thought, myself and the customer decided to remove this wall and install a quadrant shower enclosure instead. In turn, removing the wall made the shower room look much more spacious and modern. You'll also notice the small slope below the basin vanity unit which forms part of the hallway stairway ceiling beneath. It was good to make use of this space so to optimise the shower room layout to it's full potential. LED spotlights, extractor fan and LED mirror were installed along with a compact mirror cabinet for storing additional items. This shower room was indeed a complete revamp including new ceiling, plumbing, electrics, painting and tiling. Total duration of work, 13 days.
