This bathroom was recently installed and completed by myself in March this year and involved stripping the walls back as far as possible, re boarding them using plaster board and installing a new ceiling. Most of the floor was removed to install new plumbing beneath, so all pipework was neatly concealed and then reinforced with a plywood substrate in preparation for floor tiling..

The room measures 2.4 x 2.4 metres and comprises of an 80 x 140 cm shower enclosure, 150 x 75 cm freestanding bath, polished chrome free standing bath tap, 60 cm wall hung basin vanity unit and close coupled toilet. The wall and floor tiles measured 60 x 60 cm porcelain and were strategically mapped out by my customer John, who wanted the marble effect pattern in the tiles to flow as much as possible. In addition, you’ll notice the small feature recesses installed in two walls, one behind the bath and another in the shower area, to accommodate shampoo bottles etc. With no luxury spared, a stone marble effect window cill was also installed, which complimented the room very well. lastly on the job, I fitted a single feed shower pump in the airing cupboard adjacent to the bathroom, so to increase the hot water pressure which was currently being fed from a cylinder tank which was not ideal!
The duration of this project from start to finish was approximately 21 working days.

Some photos taken during the project!

John, on the left, a very happy customer!
